Johnny Velazquez Remembering our brother. Our brother, Wilfred(Willie) H. Roybal, went home to be with the Lord, on his 86th birthday, July 30th, 2021. A family member wrote the following upon hearing of Willie's passing. “He was reborn in heaven, the day he was sent to earth on his assignment.” We will never know what his assignment was, but of this we are certain, God knew, and so did our brother. He was a hard worker, who gave it his all, no matter what the job entailed. We can attest to the fact, that he was not a lazy person, but someone who took pride in his given tasks. He loved Law Enforcemant, and took pride in this endeavor. While residing in the city of Albuquerque, he was hired by the Bernalillo County Sheriff Dept. as a Deputy Sheriff. During the month of September, he would work on his days off at the New Mexico State Fair, as a Security Guard. Upon relocating to Colorado, he was hired as the Chief of Police, in a small community. How he loved this profession! We wouldn't be surprised, if his assignment in heaven, is directing traffic, lol. His second love was, driving semis, and tour buses. It became apparent, that he had, if you wish, a unique calling regarding the aforementioned. God had His loving hands on Willie, as Mom continually prayed for his salvation and safety. The Lord did answer her prayers, as he became a believer, and because of it, he is enjoying himself, in the presence of his Savior. We can only imagine the joy in Mom's face, upon Willie's arrival. Willie, You will be missed by those who loved you. One day, we will all be reunited, never to be separated again. What a glorious day that will be. We, Aunt Lorraine, Aunt Melvina, and Uncle Johnny, extend our deepest condolences, love and support, to our nieces, Melvina, Sherry Brenda, and Cynthia, during these trying times. We pray blessings, peace and joy, over the entire family.
