Our beloved mother Elena Lara Hernandez went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2020.  Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was born in San Antonio Texas to Marcelino G. Lara and Corina U. Lara.  She is preceded in death by her husband Macario G. Hernandez, her parents Marcelino and Corina Lara, her siblings Edmundo Lara, Andrea Silvas and Rafael Lara.  She is survived by her son Mark Hernandez (Rebecca) daughters Sylvia Lucio, Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Moreno, Victoria C. Hernandez, Valerie Moreno and Sylvia Parra who she raised like daughters 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her siblings Angie Guzman (Refugio), Benjamin Lara, Jose Lara  (Gloria) and Alicia Lara Hernandez and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.  Mom loved family gatherings, traveling to San Antonio Texas to visit family, going to the casino lottery tickets and dancing.  Our family would like to thank Eternity Hospice for their care and special thanks to her caregivers Deborah and Esther.
