Anna M Vargas

March 14, 1960 - February 19, 2021

Anna M. Vargas, 60, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Banner Thunderbird Hospital in Glendale, AZ. She leaves behind her wonderful husband Jorge L. Vargas, daughter Priscilla (Jay) Johnson and son Manuel Salas, grandchildren Tatiana Johnson, Christina Clark, Anthony Clark, Briannah Johnson, and Tatum Johnson great-grandchildren Francisco Gomez, Avianna Gomez, Giovanni Clark, Aubrieanne Clark, Anthony Jr Clark, Sebastian Clark, and Isaiah Johnson. She also leaves behind her siblings, Paul Salas, Eileen Salas Avila, Bobbie Salas, Mary (Saul) Salas, Manuel E. Salas, David (Lori) Salas, Trino (Nancy) Salas, Georgia Salas and Elizabeth (Jose) Salas, along with many nieces and nephews.

Anna was born in Kenosha, WI raised in Chicago, Il, and a lifelong resident of Phoenix, AZ.

She enjoyed thrift and yard sale shopping along with long drives just because with her husband, making her daughter flower bouquets and buying home decors, spending time with her grandchildren and friends who became family. She was a wonderful grandmother to Tatiana, who became her little best friend and as she would call it her sidekick. She always got a laugh at buying funny socks for her son-in-law. She loved talking hours on the phone with her close friend Paulette and family back home, especially her son. Her son Manuel was her very first best friend and their bond couldn’t have been stronger, no matter what she loved him beyond words. She always enjoyed cooking a warm home-made meal but mostly her passion was taking care of others. She was warm-hearted, caring, and loving to everyone no matter their walk of life, as she believed in no judgment.

She will be greatly missed by all that she inspired and impacted in her life.

Celebration of life services will be held in Phoenix, AZ with a virtual option. Date and time will be provided to close friends and family.
